Dank den Bergbahnen
(Transport, Piste, Skipässe)!

4 to 10 days of great fun in the snow at affordable prices. Regardless of whether with Ski, Snowboard, Telemark, Sledge – whether old or young – the Bump Bash is a mogul event for everyone and welcomes you!
Skiers of any level can enter the Bump Bash Classic and the Bump Bash Extreme and experience the magic of mogul skiing. Thanks to the Zermatt mountain transport systems the race registration fee is included in the skipass. Apart from the race itself, there are numerous side events in the ski area and parties with videos of the day’s fun. Spontaneous bump skiing instruction (from some ex- and current World Cup bump skiers) and the option to stay in a budget friendly dormitory (CHF 15 per night!) help keep the spirit of the event and attract people from near and far. The venues take place on north facing glaciers with great snow quality – even in the late spring when other resorts are closed or sinking in slush!

Bump Bash Classic

The goal is to have fun on any level with as many runs down the bumps as possible. This was the philosophy of the Bump Bash from the very beginning. Lots of categories (also without jumps) mean you can just do the type of skiing that appeals to you. Already on the days before the finals there are exciting parallel duels. Your starting time is flexible – you are free to decide when you want to do your runs, from between 12:00 and 16:00.
A simple drawing system between the opponents makes it possible to start as soon as you show up. No waiting around at the start!
On Sunday comes the big showdown in the knock-out mode, AND: even if you lose once, you’re still in the race for the victory!

Bump Bash Extreme

Unbelievable to see 100 skiers, young and old, starting at the same time and competing against each other, down 500 meters of bumps. The first impression is deceptive, only the cracks have an extreme race, chasing each other to the finish line for the victory. Non-Pros also get a chance to win: they may start voluntarily 10 seconds ahead - and will be chased by the pros.
For those participants not concerned with winning, ski comfortably (leaving enough space to each other) and focus on becoming a certified Finisher, by skiing the 500 meters without stopping (A crash is not considered as a stop, but as contribution to the entertainment).
The event gets filmed, and in the evening the public decides the “Winner of Bump Bash Extreme” by the loudness of their applause. The fastest lady wins the ladies category (so give gas girls!).
The Bump Bash Extreme is the worlds longest mogul race and the only with a Chinese Downhill (Le Mans) style start.

Bump Bash Vertical

„The steepest bump course which ever was and ever will be.” The snow should be as soft as possible, the slope as steep as possible. The skiers ski separately. Snow flies in faces, hearts beat fast. There are no rules and great crashes can be expected. The winner is whoever receives the largest applause at the evening’s video-event.

(Children, Youths and the Ladies have a victory chance thanks to the double sympathy effect from the public who judges!)
